Anthropomorphism

Anna Woods' practice, and use of experimental processes, stems from a fascination with the unknown. In her latest work, Anthropomorphism, Woods investigates her own family and those she never had the chance to connect with. Taking inspiration from the scientific theory of anthropomorphism - applying human characteristics to inanimate objects - Woods has cultivated microbes lifted from old family photographs, to create an almost invisible tie between the viewer and the surface.
