Olivia Buttivant is a photographer with a keen interest in still life. Her recent body of work, Beauty, explores the concept of beauty and what it means to her. Buttivant emphasises parts of the body that usually go unnoticed, such as the texture on one’s skin, a scar, or a mole. Buttivant feels that, in society, there is a lot of pressure to keep body features hidden because of insecurities. Through photography, she wants to be able to make individuals feel proud of any ‘flaws’ that they may have.
